PARTNERING WITH GRADUATE-LEVEL INTERNS
At Gentle Currents Therapy, we prioritize caring and effective counseling services to clients and we make every effort to provide services to those seeking support regardless of financial constraints. Individuals struggling with issues related to trauma, depression and anxiety are all too often unable to find the help they need due to the cost of counselling.
Striving to meet the needs within our community for the past 15 years, Michael Dadson, Ph.D., has historically partnered with graduate‐level interns from the University of British Columbia, Trinity Western University, Adler and City University to provide a reduced fee counseling service. All past interns were directly supervised by Dr. Dadson in both University and Community Private Practice settings.
Additionally, Dr. Dadson has taught courses and trained students as an Adjunct Professor at the University of British Columbia and Trinity Western University and has held training events for seasoned Therapists across Canada.
Dr. Dadson has a long history of training students, clinical counsellors and psychologists in Canada and Internationally, in Seminars, University Courses, Process Groups, Professional Conferences and Workshops. His training has addressed issues ranging from Basic Counseling Skills to PTSD, Gender Role Trauma, Complex Trauma, Developmental Trauma, Supervision and Military Transitions. The BCACC recognizes supervision as within the professional competencies of Dr. Dadson’s practice.
